Week 6: Thursday

[You would think being in a magical murder castle would maybe skew your priorities a little better, but no. Nope. She might have held it together on Wednesday but Beauty and the Beast were visiting and she had to chat them up, so to speak.

But today there's nothing she needs to do. So she's still in bed looking miserable- but at least it seems like she's slept! Even if her pillow is currently covered in tears]

Is there something wrong with me?

It's boy troubles, and it's stupid considering we're in a murder castle! But- every guy I like ends up liking somebody else! Is there something wrong with me?

The first guy decided he wanted to be a priest in the end. The second one decided he wanted to fly thousands of miles away from me. One of them promised to marry me and instead just left! [So all of that sounds like stuff that happened at home.] And then- [She's so frustrated! She shoves her face back into the pillow and she mumbles something that sounds like a very muffled "Sanji!"]

[ That's-- a lot to take in, and yes, she already knows about Rebecca getting ditched at her own wedding (which still makes her very annoyed), but give her a minute to sift through all of this.

While also patting Rebecca's back. ]

Sanji?

[ oh no what did he do ]

[She sniffles into the pillow before turning her head so she can actually be heard.]

He has feelings for somebody else! [Honestly she has no idea who it is-] Is it Zelos? Why does this keep happening to me?

I hope it's not Zelos.

[ a tad huffily, because she's still grumpy over Saturday. But more patting. ]

But I'm sorry, Rebecca. I still think you're wonderful.

[ EVEN IF SHE ISN'T SANJI. ]

I bet it's Zelos, I have that kind of luck.

[She's going to sulk here for... probably the better part of the morning.]

If Sanji likes men that much, then that really might not be your fault at all.

[ But sigh. ]

Cardia. I'm four for four on guys who I like that definitely don't like me back. I feel like the common denominator here is me.

[Unfortunately for both of them, this is the week where she's most inclined to be honest with her partner. There's a laundry list of things she's done that make her inclined to think it's her fault.

While she's been keeping the details of this mostly to herself, the pain of having her heartbroken again means it's all rushing out of her.]

The guy I was gonna marry? That's Josh. I broke him up with his girlfriend. I moved across the country to be with him and then I learned he had a girlfriend. I didn't even learn it from him! I learned it from his childhood friend! Because I went on a date with his friend and made out with him because I thought Josh was going to be there!

I was so desperate to spend time with him that I clogged my garbage disposal. I lied to my boss about my ovaries exploding because I didn't want to come in.

I heard Josh have sex with another woman and now? Now I associate toilets with heartbreak. I ran over a cat because I had to know if her owner was dealing drugs! I made out with my boss while I was engaged to Josh! I paid ten thousand dollars to take another woman's wedding slot!

I'm not a good person, Cardia!

The problem is me!
