Week 0: Sunday

[She's back in her room after the execution, looking somewhat sick. Sharpay didn't mean anything to her. They weren't friends, they had barely spoken.

Rebecca was unaffected by knowing about her future execution on Saturday. After the fact, she looks shaky. It's different.

It's different when she has to watch somebody die.

She's curled up on their bed with the covers pulled over her head.]

... Possibly, but I don't know if it counts if people are aware of it. So I'm not sure I should talk about it yet.

Now I'm really curious. Do you have to create a romance?

A-- no! I wouldn't even know how to!

[ She laughs a little, reaches out and pets the top of Cardia's head. ]

Honestly that's harder to do than you'd think. And you probably already think it's hard.

I do think it's hard. I don't even understand how love works.

I have a mom and a dad. But none of us are close.

Mom criticizes everything I do, and my dad only shows up when he wants money. I... finally decided to cut him out of my life for good. That was the same day as my ruined wedding.

It was ruined??

My groom didn't show up. He just decided to leave without saying anything.

... He abandoned you?!

[ WHAT. ]

Yeah. I haven't heard from him since he left. I don't even know where he is!

I'm... I'm sorry. I thought weddings were supposed to be happy occasions.

That's what I thought!

I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. Everybody knows he didn't show up.

... Travel to a new place, where no one knows you and you can start a new life?

I just did that! I did that for him and he left!

What if- what if it keeps happening? What if I'm unlovable?!

Rebecca, no! I just think he's a horrible person!

E-every man I've ever loved has left me! Every single one! My dad left and then, whenever I like a guy they just leave!
