[Well here it is, the first time they didn't have enough evidence or enough skill to figure out who was actually guilty. So they condemned somebody completely innocent to their death. There's nothing they can do for him now.

She supposes she's lucky she wasn't close to any of the victims or Yasusada.

Rebecca can be found in the kitchen. While she doesn't seem sickened by any of this, she doesn't seem happy about it either.]

[Is the kitchen still wrecked? Probably. But Veronica swings by to dig through whatever is still left. When she spots Rebecca, she pauses in the doorway before sighing.]

[Tonight was a mistake.]

[It's not great but she wants to take a little while to herself. Didn't work out exactly how she wanted it, but that's fine.]

... How's it going?

Not very well, to be honest.

[Huffs out a laugh, humorless.]

And you? How's it going?

[Rebecca mirrors the laugh, but it sounds a lot more like tired huffs of air than anything else.]

Probably better than people who were close to the victims. We didn't get any closure this time.

I'll say... God, what a mess.

[A really, really shitty mess. She runs her hand through her hair, frowning.]

... I'm worried about Natsuo, too. What the hell was up with that meltdown? It was... It was so much, Rebecca.

I have no idea. He's never acted like that before- do you think... coming back from the dead messed with him?

Any idea what caused him to act like... that?

I don't know. We took what Sandalphon did for granted, but — what if there was a catch? That kind of gift seems too good to be true.

He was Snow White's prince, right?

Snow White wasn't actually dead. She was just asleep from a poison.

Then... You're saying something got fucked up because Natsuo was really dead?

I don't know. I have no idea how gifts like that work. Did you see his title? It looks fucked up too.

... Ugh. This is starting to feel like something out of a horror movie, and not just because of the murder.

Zombies, murder castles- it sounds like a great formula for a horror movie.

Like hell it is. That sounds like a one way ticket to screwing ourselves over.

Somebody needs to die every week, don't they?

[Why not target somebody who already wants to get out of this. But it's not just her life on the line here, is it?]

After tonight, I think completing our objectives is more important than winning the war the traditional way, anyway...

... My objective isn't something I can get help with, but I'm working on it. Thank you for offering, though, Rebecca. I appreciate it.

Honestly I don't know if there's an end to them.

What's yours? And, uh... do you have like, a small wish? Or any wishes?

... I'd like my diary back, I guess. That's small.

Mine's... embarrasing. And I should be done with it tonight, so there's that. [she hates it, thanks!!] What about you? Do you need help with your second objective?

Did it get stolen while we've been here?

Alright, that's great. ... I need to... lead a sing-a-long as a distraction. [Honestly, what the fuck kind of objective is that?]

Not exactly. It didn't come with me when I arrived here.

Like... something to take our minds off murder? Or a distraction while we're doing something important?

Does it definitely have to be yours, or will any empty book work?

Like during a trial or during an investigation. It's probably better like, in an investigation, right? Because we're not time locked. But then I've gotta be around people who'll also be willing to also sing.

Preferably mine, but I'll take a real notebook at this point.

Would it work if you asked others to sing with you beforehand?

Maybe...? I don't know the details of it.

Would you be willing to do a sing a long with me? The next time we have an investigation?

Sure. If I'm not a corpse by then, I'll sing with you.
